Climate Zoning of the South-Caucasian state Georgia is the objective of this work. On the basis of longstanding climate data for 101 climate stations a temperature and a precipitation map are interpolated with a Geographic Information System (GIS). Existing climate zonings and classifications are documented and compared. Basis for the comparison ... of global and regional climate zonings is a calculated climate map. Georgia has very different climate zones. The Surami-Mountains which connect the Great with the Small Caucasus are an obvious climate border and divide the maritim wet West-Georgia from the continental dry East-Georgia.
