At 14 weeks of age, the caudal spines of 216 undocked Merino land lambs was radiographically examined, and tail length and circumference were measured. Anomalies were documented and statistical correlation and model calculations were performed using the statistical programme SAS OnDemand for Academics (SAS, 2022). - The lamb ID represents a continuous numbering of the examined animals for targeted assignment. - Litter size is used to describe the number of lambs in this litter. - Sex can be female (w) or male (m). - We used 4 different rams (male sheep) for the mating. Ram 1 and 2 are short tailed, Ram 3 and 4 have a long tail. Therefore the number of the ram (1-4) is documented. - The parity describes the number of previous lamings of the ewe. - Tail length and tail circumference are displayed in centimeters. - The Number of vertebrae was counted on the basis of an X-ray image. - The occurence of axial deviation, blocked vertebrae, wedged vertebrae and vertebral fractures coded with 1. If no change was found, it was coded as 0. - The fracture localisation can be 1 = Caudal third of the tail, 2 = middle third of the tail, 12 = caudal and middle third of the tail or 0 = no fracture - Axial deviation was defined as any manually irreparable deviation of the tail from the medians. - A blocked vertebra was considered present if the vertebral boundaries of adjacent vertebrae were not clearly visible or were completely fused. Wedge-shaped bony structures present between two vertebrae were recorded as wedged vertebrae. A fracture was noted in any event where a vertebra demon-strated an interruption of bone structure.Item Supplemental Data for "Survey of drug use and its association with herd-level and farm-level characteristics on German dairy farms"(2023-12-13) Abdallah, MiesThe data set contains supplementary tables for paper: "A". This is a voluntary survey of the use of medicines on 50 dairy cow farms in Germany for the year 2020. The tables contain information on the questionnaire used, the farm parameters surveyed, the classification of the regions, the groups of active substances identified, extended information on the statistical tests and the frequencies of the documented diagnoses.Item Supplemental Material for "Occupational Safety in Chemosensitivity Tests: A Method to Minimize the Risk of Contamination While Maximizing the Safety for the Examiner"(2021-08-20) Hartung, Svenja; Henrich, ManfredSupplemental Material for "Occupational safety in chemosensitivity tests. A method to minimize the risk of contamination while maximizing the safety for the examiner" published in Chemotherapy, International Journal of Experimental and Clinical Chemotherapy, Karger.Item Supplemental Material for "Untersuchungen zur In-vitro-Chemosensitivität einer felinen Large Granular Lymphocyte (LGL)-Zelllinie unter Berücksichtigung arbeitssicherheitsrelevanter Maßgaben"(2022-11-28) Hartung, Svenja; Henrich, ManfredSupplemental material for doctoral thesis: "Untersuchungen zur In-vitro-Chemosensitivität einer felinen Large Granular Lymphocyte (LGL)-Zelllinie unter Berücksichtigung arbeitssicherheitsrelevanter Maßgaben" and related publications. The aim of the study was to determine the in vitro chemosensitivity of the feline LGL cell line S87. For this purpose the cells were seeded at a concentration of 1 Mio./ml/well in 24-well-cell-culture-plates. After 48 h the cell culture medium was changed to a medium containing six diffrent concentrations (given in the tables for each substance) of doxorubicin, 4-hydroperoxycyclophosphamide, vincristine, methotrexate, L-asparaginase or prednisolone. The cell count and the viability were determined by trypan blue staining after 24 and 48 h. Each experiment was repeated 3 times (given in the dates of the experiments). Furthermore the experiments with doxorubicin and vincristine were repeated with usage of elacridar, an inhibitor of several ATP-binding-cassette-transporters. The data sheet includes the number of living cells and the viability of four measurements per well as well as the arithmetic mean.Item Supplemental Tables for "Associations between days in the close-up group and milk production, transition cow diseases, reproductive performance, culling and behavior, around calving of Holstein dairy cows"(2023-05-09) Venjakob, Peter LennartThe objective of the study was to evaluate the association between days in the close-up group (DINCU) and milk production, early lactation diseases, reproductive performance, culling risk and behaviour around calving. In this investigation 14 different statistical models were calculated to evaluate the association between days in the close-up group (DINCU) and 305-d milk projection of nulliparous (1) and parous (2) cows; between DINCU and the risk for clinical hypocalcemia of parous cows (3); between DINCU and the risk for hyperketonemia of nulliparous (4) and parous (5) cows; between DINCU and the risk for displaced abomasum of parous cows (6); between DINCU and the risk for retained placenta of nulliparous (7) and parous (8) cows, between DINCU and the risk for acute puerperal metritis of nulliparous (9) and parous cows (10); between DINCU and the risk for mastitis in parous cows (11); between DINCU and first service pregnancy risk (12); and between DINCU and culling risk of nulliparous (13) and parous (14) cows.
