Item Die Türksprachen der ehemaligen Sowjetunion : Ein Jahrhundert des Wandels(2006) Sahatova, GülschenIm babylonischen Sprachengewirr der ehemaligen Sowjetunion bildeten die Türksprachen die zweitgrößte Sprachfamilienach den slawischen Sprachen. Ihre Geschichte und die Geschichte ihrer Schriften waren im 20. Jahrhundert keineswegseine Geschichte der Beständigkeit. Der Zeitraum zwischen 1924 und 1942 war dabei besonders schicksalhaft,denn bei den Türksprachen dieser Region wurde in dieser Zeit zunächst die vertraute arabische durch die lateinischeund in einer weiteren Phase diese wieder durch die kyrillische Schrift ersetzt. Zum Zeitpunkt des Zusammenbruchs desSowjet-Reiches Anfangs der 90-er Jahre des 20. Jahrhunderts dehnten sich Türksprachen von den westlichen Grenzgebietenbis nach Nordostsibirien aus.
