Behandlungsdauer von Wurzelkanalbehandlungen, Recallfrequenz sowie Verweildauer wurzelkanalbehandelter Zähne : Eine retrospektive, statistische Studie

Abstract

In Bezug auf die Überlebensrate nach zehn Jahren wurden von den 761 dokumentierten Wurzelkanalbehandlungen 106 als erste Behandlung in einer patientenbezogenen Betrachtung dokumentiert. Weitere 62 Behandlungen gehen als zweite, dritte, etc. Wurzelkanalbehandlung in die zahnbezogene Betrachtung ein, womit sich insgesamt 168 Zehnjahresfälle ergeben. In der zahnbezogenen Betrachtung lag die Überlebensrate wurzelkanalbe¬handelter Zähne nach zehn Jahren bei 86,3 %. Von 168 behandelten Zähnen waren dabei noch 145 in situ. In der patientenbezogenen Betrachtung hingegen lag die Überlebensrate sogar bei 89,6 %, wobei von 106 behandelten Zähnen noch 95 in situ waren. Es zeigte sich, dass besonders häufig die ersten Prämolaren einer Extraktion zum Opfer fielen. Insgesamt betrachtet bedurften die Seitenzähne sehr viel öfter einer Extraktion als die Frontzähne. Der Geschlechtervergleich zeigt, dass bei weiblichen Patienten eine Extraktion eher selten vorkam. Der Altersvergleich zum Extraktionszeitpunkt zeigt, dass die Extraktionen in signifikant höherem Patientenalter durchgeführt wurden.

With respect to the 10-year survival rate and on the basis of the total of 761 documented cases of root canal treatment applied, 106 endodontically treated teeth were documented as a first treatment when following a patient-based approach. A further 62 treatments entered the database of the analysis of the tooth-related survival rate as second, third, etc. root canal treatment, which makes up the total of 168 ten-year survival cases. Focusing the analysis on the individual teeth, the ten-year survival rate of teeth having undergone root canal treatment was 86.3%, with 145 of an initial total of 168 treated teeth still in situ. When analyzing the data on hand with the focus on the patients, the survival rate was even higher, namely 89.6%, with 95 of an initial total of 106 treated teeth still in situ. It was shown that the first premolars were particularly more often subject to extraction. On the whole, the data demonstrated that the posterior teeth were far more often subject to extraction than the anterior teeth. Comparing the data related to male and female patients respectively, it became apparent that extractions tended to have been performed less frequently with women than with men. Comparing the ages of patients at the time of extraction of the tooth or teeth in question it could be shown that extractions were performed when the age of the patients was significantly higher.
