Neue Formen der Benutzerauskunft in Bibliotheken

Abstract

Die vorliegende Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit neuen Formen der Benutzerauskunft in Bibliotheken. Es werden die wichtigsten Formen der elektronischen Informationsvermittlung, wie E-Mail, Chat und Voice over Internetprotocol (VoIP) dargestellt. Des weiteren werden ausgewählte Auskunftsverbünde in Deutschland, deren Funktion und Bedeutung vorgestellt: "DigiAuskunft", "Infopoint" und der internationale Verbund "Questionpoint". Ein Kapitel beschäftigt sich mit der Prüfung der Situation im Bibliothekssystem Gießen auf Voraussetzungen für eine mögliche Implementierung eines der beschriebenen Online-Auskunftssysteme. Die Darstellung und Auswertung der Ergebnisse der Online-Umfrage zum Thema "Neue Formen der Benutzerauskunft in Bibliotheken" ist Gegenstand eines weiteren Kapitels. In der Abschlussbetrachtung wird auf Basis der Umfrageergebnisse versucht, Handlungsempfehlungen sowohl für das Bibliothekssystem Gießen als auch allgemein gültiger für andere Bibliotheken, zu geben. The available work deals with new varieties of user information support in libraries. The most important types of the electronic information transfer will be introduced, such as e-mail, chat and voice of over internetprotocol (VoIP). Furthermore, the function and the importance of specific German information organizations will be presented:"DigiAuskunft", "Infopoint" and the international service "Questionpoint".One of the chapters deals with the evaluation of the library´s present situation in Gießen and the preconditions for a considerable implementation of one of the specified online information services. The illustration and analysis of the online survey "New varieties of user information support in libraries" will be treated in one of the following chapters. The conclusion proposes a catalogue of measures based on the results of the survey as well as for the specific library system in Gießen and for libraries in general.
