Data for "Preferences for meat attributes and meat attachment attitudes among urban consumers in Afghanistan: A Best-Worst Scaling (BWS) approach"

Zusammenfassung

These files include dataset and codes for Best-Worst Scaling (BWS) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) of the paper entitled "Preferences for meat attributes and meat attachment attitudes among urban consumers in Afghanistan: A Best-Worst Scaling (BWS) approach".

The data is part of my PhD research project, which was collected through a field visit in Kabul, Afghanistan during Jan - Apr 2021. More specifically, the data was collected through 13 sessions of experimental auctions and post-experiment survey from a total of 230 participants. Participants consented to take part in both the experimental auctions and post-experiment survey. The data I have shared here, are those used for the analysis presented in the paper.

There are two datasets, labeled as "meatbws2" and "meat_attachment_data".

The file with the label "Variable codes for the dataset meatbws2" contains the definition of the variables for the dataset "meatbws2". This data is used in the R script "BWS_Case1_Meat-Attributes" for conducting BWS analysis, using the Case 1 or Maxdiff model of BWS. This data can be replicated or reused using recent versions of R or RStudio.

The second dataset, labeled as "meat_attachment_data" contain data only for the 16 meat attachment statements, in which ma1 indicates meat attachment statement 1, ma2 represents meat attachment statement 2, ... and ma16 is for meat attachment statement 16. This data is used in the R script "Meat-Attachment_CFA" for conducting confirmatory factor analysis. This data can be replicated or reused using recent versions of R or RStudio.
