El discurso religioso en la misa católica como forma de control (Análisis del discurso)

Abstract

El presente artículo muestra por qué el lenguaje ritual usado en la misa católica puede ser considerado como un discurso de poder. Se define qué es un discurso religioso, su forma de uso en la iglesia católica como institución social, sus principales características and las condiciones necesarias para ejercer control sobre los devotos. Finalmente se analiza un fragmento de la parte introductoria de una misa católica utilizando el modelo tridimensional creado por Fairclough en el área del Análisis Crítico del Discurso (ACD). The present article shows the reason why the ritual language used in the catholic mass can be considered a discourse of power. The text defines what a religious discourse is, how it is used in the Catholic Church as a social institution, the main characteristics of this type of discourse and its necessary conditions to exercise control over devotees. Finally, an excerpt of the introduction stage of a Catholic mass is analyzed using the three-dimensional model formulated by Fairclough in the area of Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA).
