Abstract

The objectives of this project were: a. To review the influence of group size on poultry welfare, social behavior and productivity. b. To assess the influence of group size on broilers welfare, productivity and leg disorders. c. To assess pigs preferences for living in very large versus small groups. d. To assess pigs emotional experience when living in very large vs. small groups by using cognitive bias tests.
